HISTORY

The firm has been continuously involved in the practice of architecture for 83 years.  It had its beginning in 1923 when Harry P. Hansen and Karl M. Waggoner came to Mason City from Waterloo to open an architectural office.  Thomas Waggoner joined the firm in 1954 and became a partner in 1958.  The firm has had five (5) reorganizations, including Waggoner Mahaffey & Bowman.  In 1996, Edward C. Wineinger joined in partnership with Thomas Waggoner to form Waggoner & Wineinger Architects.  In 1998, Edward C. Wineinger became sole proprietor, with Thomas Waggoner staying actively involved in the firm as a consulting architect.  The firm was incorporated in 2002 as Waggoner & Wineinger Architects, Inc.

We have an uncompromising commitment to the concept that high quality construction and lifetime building performance can best be served through clear, concise, and completely detailed drawings and specifications, followed by a harmonious and cooperative working relationship with the contractor during the phase of building construction.
